Scholarships, Bursaries,and Awards

The Clarion Academy are working with a number of partners notably The Arnold Foundation and the Springboard Foundation to encourage young people from African Heritage backgrounds to take up Bursaries in Public Schools. 

The academy are also working with a number of universities to support those from African Heritage communities into university life .Each university or college has their own rules about bursaries, scholarships and awards. For example:

• How much you can get

• How to apply

 

Bursaries are like grants and don’t have to be paid back. You get your bursary directly from your university or college.​​​​​​​​

 

Families on a low income

The bursary can be one or more of the following:

 

• A cash bursary

• Help with tuition fees and accommodation

• A free foundation year (a programme that helps students meet the entry criteria for a higher  education course)
