Caribbean

Over the years many young people have expressed their views and desires to stay connected with their heritage. As part of their self-development, "The Clarion Academy" will be supporting young people to share in overseas volunteering programmes.

The Caribbean has been described as islands from which each morning’s glorious sunrise until the sea swallows the sun at night, presents a magnificent palette of colours a kaleidoscope of beauty and tranquillity. However, within this beauty and tranquillity many of these islands suffer from poor economic growth and Community stagnation. Volunteering in these islands will be mutually beneficial to the volunteers and the host communities.

African Sub Continent

Africa, like the Caribbean has many countries, which benefit through the work of volunteers - The Academy has established links with overseas partners to short-term volunteering programmes for students. Directors from The Clarion Academy are currently having talks with “Teach in Ghana”, an Accra based non-governmental organisation (NGO) about setting up an international two-way volunteering placement and exchange scheme for young people in the UK and Ghana.
